Privacy Policy

Last updated 21 August 2026

You gave me your email address, or you are thinking about it. Here is exactly what happens to it, written the way I would explain it to you at my kitchen table.

The short version

I collect as little as I can, I do not sell anything about you, and you can have it deleted by sending one email. The rest of this page is the detail, in plain language.

What I collect, and when

When you subscribe. Your first name and email address, which you type into a form on this site. Nothing else.

When you send a question to Ask Vida. Your first name, email address, your children's ages, and the question itself. You choose whether it may be shared on the podcast and whether it stays anonymous. If you do not tick those boxes, it is not shared.

When you buy something. Checkout happens on Gumroad, not here. I never see or store your card number. Gumroad tells me your email address and what you bought so I can send you your guide and help you if something goes wrong.

When you enquire about speaking. Whatever you put in your email to me.

When you just visit. Google Analytics records the pages you looked at, roughly which country you are in, and whether you tapped a buy button. It does not tell me who you are.

Who else touches it

These are the companies I use to run this business. Each one has its own privacy policy, and each one only gets what it needs to do its job.

Flodesk — sends the newsletter and stores the subscriber list.
Gumroad — takes payment and delivers the files.
Netlify — hosts this site and receives the forms.
Google Analytics — counts visits.
Spotify — hosts the podcast, if you listen there.

I do not sell your data, rent it, or hand it to advertisers. If a law or a court ever required me to hand something over, I would have to comply, and I would tell you unless I was forbidden to.

Cookies

This site sets Google Analytics cookies so I can see how many people visit and which pages they read. That is the only reason. If you would rather not be counted, turn on Do Not Track or use your browser's private mode, and install Google's opt-out add-on if you want to be certain.

How long I keep it

Subscribers stay on the list until you unsubscribe — every email has a one-click unsubscribe link at the bottom, and I do not ask why.

Questions sent to Ask Vida are kept while I am working through them and deleted within a year unless I have used yours on the podcast.

Purchase records are kept as long as the tax rules require.

Analytics data is aggregated and expires on Google's own schedule.

What you can ask me to do

You can ask me to tell you what I hold about you, correct it, delete it, or send you a copy. You can ask me to stop emailing you. You will never be treated differently for asking.

Send one email to team@vidaforward.com and I will do it within 30 days. There is no form and no fee.

Children

This site is for parents. It is not directed at children and I do not knowingly collect anything from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has sent me their details, email me and I will delete it.

Where I am
